Regenerating replaces manual changes. A timetable is a planning aid β€” it doesn't show that any registration or instructional-time requirement is met.

Rearrange: drag a lesson onto another to swap them, or tap one lesson then another. Double-click (or use ✎) to rename a slot.

Tips for a homeschool timetable that works

  • Put the subjects that need the most focus β€” often maths and reading β€” early in the day, and list them first.
  • Short lessons work well for younger children. Many families use 20–30 minute sessions for early primary and longer blocks for older students.
  • Leave spare β€œflexible learning” sessions for reading, projects, excursions or catching up.
  • Review your timetable after a couple of weeks. A plan that fits your family beats a perfect plan on paper.

Home education in New Zealand needs an exemption from the Ministry of Education. A timetable is a planning aid only β€” read our home education exemption guide for what applies to you.
