Tips for a homeschool timetable that works
- Put the subjects that need the most focus β often maths and reading β early in the day, and list them first.
- Short lessons work well for younger children. Many families use 20β30 minute sessions for early primary and longer blocks for older students.
- Leave spare βflexible learningβ sessions for reading, projects, excursions or catching up.
- Review your timetable after a couple of weeks. A plan that fits your family beats a perfect plan on paper.
Each state and territory has its own home education requirements. A timetable is a planning aid only β check your state or territory guide for what applies to you.
